Top 5 Coffee Spots I Love in Chiang Mai

1. Wild Coffee & Bistro

Wild Coffee & Bistro is one of my favorite places to relax with a good cup of coffee and chill vibes. You feel like you are in a Jungle when you visit here, and its incredible. The space feels open and welcoming, with plenty of natural light and comfy seating — great for working on the laptop or just reading a book. Their coffee has a nice, deep roast flavor, and they often have interesting specialty drinks that change with the seasons. I like to drop by mid-afternoon, grab a latte, and enjoy the calm atmosphere after a busy day. A true hidden gem of Chiang Mai.

2. BOB Coffee

BOB Coffee stands out for its cozy, neighborhood-café vibe and friendly service. It’s the kind of place where you can slowly sip your coffee, chat with locals or fellow travelers, or just watch the world pass by. Their wifi is very fast and their prices are low. So perfect for a Digital Nomad on a budget. One of my absolute favorite places. I like the interior too, and its a bonus what happens there after dark, but I will let you discover what that is for yourself.

3. Ristr8to Original

Ristr8to Original is a must-visit for serious coffee lovers. Its the best coffee in town, and its not even close. Here you can get coffees that are much more like coctails if you want to explore all that coffee can be, but they also have the classics here and do them super well. The baristas here craft each cup carefully, and the flavor profiles are bold and complex — perfect for those who really appreciate specialty coffee. I often go there when I want something more than a simple americano: perhaps a pour-over or a creative espresso-based drink. The vibe is artsy and energetic, and I’ve spent hours there working, chatting, or just savoring the coffee. The coffee there is next level. Decent wifi speed for working 100/50mbps

4. The Barn Eatery and Design

The Barn Eatery and Design combines great coffee with a cool, rustic-industrial ambiance. The wooden interiors, creative décor, and relaxed playlist make it a perfect place to unwind or meet up with friends. Their coffee is solid, and the food menu — from cakes to brunch items — pairs well with it. For me, The Barn is ideal when I want a laid-back brunch vibe or a casual hangout over coffee.

5. The Hideout

The Hideout is a more low-key, hidden-gem type of café that I love for its quiet charm. It’s tucked away from the busiest streets, which makes it great when I want to escape the bustle and enjoy my coffee in peace. The atmosphere is calm, sometimes with gentle background music, and the seating areas feel private and comfortable. I often bring a notebook or sketchbook here and spend a couple of hours reflecting or working on ideas while sipping a smooth cup of coffee.
